Care India Medical Society (CIMS) is a Public Charitable Trust registered in February 1993. Services to the needy and poor cancer patients are being provided over the past 25 years across the entire spectrum of cancer management - right from cancer education and early detection to treatment and end-of- life care to cancer patients. The growth trajectory of CIMS is evident through various need based projects which have evolved over the years namely, ‘Satseva’ (Home Care for advanced stage patients), ‘Vishranti’ (Respite and Palliative Care Centre as an in-patient facility), ‘Matruseva’ (Health Maintenance Programme for women - prevention and early detection) and ‘CANTREAT’ (therapeutic services). With increased awareness about the activities of our organization, the number of patients coming to ask us for help is increasing every year and more patients are from the urban slums and peripheral rural areas surrounding Pune. Right from its inception CIMS is not in receipt of any government grants whatsoever. It has grown and sustained itself on the philanthropy of generous individual and organizational donors who have supported us over the years. To commemorate our completion of 25 years and to create awareness about Cancer and Cancer Early Detection among people we are organizing the “CIMS Run for Cancer ” and also create awareness about the work our organization is doing.
